The Shasta County Socialist Party is a local branch of the Socialist Party USA and is dedicated to serving our community through mutual aid, labor organizing, base building, and advancing working class political power outside of the two-party system.
What is Socialism?
Socialism is worker and community ownership over the means of production. Who better than the workers to determine how a workplace is run and what it needs? Who better than the community members to determine what a neighborhood needs? Socialism is economic democracy. It is about expanding power to the many.

COVID-19 Relief Grocery Delivery Program
Since the start of the crisis in early 2020, we have been offering a free grocery delivery program for immunocompromised persons.
Mutual Aid Food Distributions
Since the summer of 2020, we have been distributing bags of groceries to working class neighborhoods to promote community solidarity in these trying times.
Annual Seed Distribution Campaigns
Since 2018, we have been distributing organic seeds of local crops to working class neighborhoods in an attempt to promote community self-sufficiency and food security.
